This is a text about typing practice.## Hi, I'm here to help you type better! We all make typos sometimes, but there are things we can do to lower the odds of making them and this article will empower you with some handy tips and tricks on how to type better. With these methods, your typos will become increasingly rare and your skills as a typist will reach new heights. First up: identifying what causes typos in the first place. Typos happen for many reasons. The most common is simply not looking at the keyboard while you type. Take this sentence, for example: "The cat sat on the mat". Now, if you were to type it, you'd get: "tHe cAt sAt oN tHe mAt". If it took me more than two tries to make that mistake, I'd be surprised. Typos are definitely a matter of practice! So let's get practicing! The next most common reason typos happen is because people are trying to press keys too quickly. This can often occur in jobs in which typing speed is crucial. When you're typing faster than you should be, you can cause your fingers to strike the wrong keys time and time again. This may not seem like a big deal, but over time this will lead to muscle strain and/or carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS), scarring in your hands due to repetitive motions that result in painful injuries. This is where I came in. My job was to write this article, which required me to type portions of it at fast speeds. Researching the correct way to type the letters I was typing quickly became an exercise in hand health (to be honest it did get annoying). But I figured out a way so I could continue my favourite pastime while working on this article. The third most common cause of typos is keyboarding errors that occur due to strained muscles in the hands. This is particularly true in people who don't have enough time in their day to stretch out their hands. This may be the case for you if you are a child or have a job that requires you to type more than eight hours per day. If you are in this situation, please consult your doctor so they can help ease any pain. The fourth most common reason typos happen is because people are trying to type too fast. This is another problem that most people deal with at some point in their lives, but most of us don't learn how to combat it until we've had years of typing experience under our belts. The way to combat this problem is to slow down your typing speed by 45% (so it's still typing nine words per minute). If you can do this, you'll be able to type more accurately, with less effort. cfa1e77820
